Along the way, you’ll wander through the streets, parks, and alleys of central Tampere. As you go, you’ll get to know the beloved characters of Moominvalley a little better, as well as the world and life philosophy of the iconic artist Tove Jansson.

The route takes you through the city center, covering areas like Koskipuisto, the Finlayson district, Näsikallio, Hämeenpuisto, Alaranta – and there’s also an optional path to the Moomin Museum.

The content is not specifically designed for small children, but they are welcome to join with an adult.

The full walk is about 4–5 km, but you can explore it in parts. Pick up where you left off, and start from any checkpoint.

The route follows city streets, so it is accessible.

This route takes you through the Finlayson area and into the heart of the empire that grew around it. Guided by our mobile app, you’ll walk from the Finlayson Palace to Tallipiha and all the way to the old Milavida, now known as Näsilinna. Along the way, you’ll uncover the profound impact the Finlayson factory had on the development of the entire area.

Today, the Finlayson district remains a vibrant workplace for thousands and serves as a prime example of a historic industrial site repurposed for the people of the city — full of cafés, restaurants, art exhibitions, and events.

For two hundred years, a clan of badgers has lived in the winding tunnels and caves beneath Finlayson. In this delightful adventure, you’ll meet one of them – Mauri.

Mauri has a deep love for earthworms, and unfortunately, that passion has gotten him into serious trouble.

Mauri has been arrested!

In what’s now being called The Great Earthworm Scandal, someone has broken into the legendary earthworm cellar of Finlayson’s mayor, Kaitsu Karhu, stealing a large portion of his prized vintage worms. Mauri was found near the scene, happily munching on a worm. He swears – by his big furry paws – that he simply found it on the street.

Now Mauri needs your help. Can you prove his innocence and set him free?

This adventure game takes place in the Amazing City mobile app.
